While plenty of places along this stretch of road boast similar views, the off-the-beaten-path location makes it feel like a secret find. Look for the well-marked dirt road off the main drag.There's a long cocktail list of around two-dozen favorites, plus imported beers. Order special mains like coconut breaded shrimp, whole red snapper or a seafood platter for two with lobster, tuna, mahi-mahi and calamari with garlic sauce. The stone tables out front are the best for sunset viewing."Fodor's: "A spectacular sunset view comes with friendly, attentive service and a small but tempting menu that includes such typical Tico dishes as sopa negra (black-bean soup), ceviche, shrimp and fish on a skewer, and filet mignon wrapped with bacon and topped with a mushroom sauce. The red snapper is excellent, as are the coconut-breaded jumbo shrimp. This is the best place in town to soak in the view—especially when accompanied by a glass of their famous white wine–and–vodka sangria. Ronny's is somewhat secluded up a long dirt road that crosses a green valley on a narrow ridge in front of the sea. If you come after dark, you might be disappointed, since the ocean view is the true star of the show."
