This fixation on all things wholesome, natural and Vermont is obvious from the menu, which boasts local ingredients in various specialty crepes including Vermont apples, honey, maple syrup, ham, sausage, butter, whipped cream, Misty Knoll chicken, and lots of renowned cheeses, including Cabot cheddar and the famed Jasper Hill Cellars Bayley Hazen Bleu.Besides the appetizers, you can get some basic fare like burgers, panini sandwiches and breakfast burritos, but the heart and soul of the place is a lengthy list of crepes in every imaginable combination, split between sweet and savory. The most basic sweet model is just local butter and sugar, with the option of adding maple syrup, and they have classics like Nutella or strawberries with whipped cream. Slightly improvised sweet takes include the popular “Choco Monkey,” stuffed with Nutella and sliced bananas, or the “PB & Bee,” with peanut butter, banana, whipped cream and honey. Going most extreme on the sweet side is the “Brownies in Bed,” a true dessert, stuffed with fresh baked brownies, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The most Vermont-centric version is probably the “Hot Apple Crispy,” local apples with honey, cinnamon sugar and whipped cream.
