3 Snowy Getaways on Our Winter Travel List

There are two types of people in this world: the ones who seek snow, and those who run from it. And while we love ourselves a sunny beach, sometimes we need a winter weekend filled with all the snow and apres-ski. Here are three destinations where we’re planning to get our fill of winter wonderland. 

1. Banff, Canada

Oh, beautiful Banff. Between the stunning backdrop of the Canadian Rockies and the abundance of chic winter resorts, it’ll be hard to find a more beautiful place to get away this winter. And even though it’ll be cold, you’ll find an abundance of winter activities including skiing, ice skating, and even sleigh rides. In addition to being one of the best ski resorts in the U.S., it’s filled with unique winter excursions including dog sledding, snowmobiling, and horseback riding. And if it were our weekend trip, you’d definitely find us at Lone Mountain Ranch’s Sleigh Ride Dinner – a fine dining experience where you’re taken to a remote cabin via horse-drawn carriages for a prime rib dinner served in a dim-lit room with kerosene lanterns.
