Wanting to get out of San Diego? Here are a couple day trips you can't miss.
SAN CLEMENTE
The cutest, and one of my personal favorite beach towns.
- One hour drive north (the best scenic drive up the 101, or take the Surfliner Train up!)
- San Onofre State Beach, The Pier, Trestles, and everything you imagine when you think vintage California surf town
- Known as the "Spanish Village by the Sea"
- Eat, sip, shop, stroll Del Mar Street
- Coastal trail walk
TEMECULA
The wine country of Socal!
- One hour drive northeast of San Diego
- Close to 50 different wineries to choose from
- Perfect girl's/couple's day trip or mini getaway
- Book a wine tour (via cable car, sidecar, vannboozy bus, or similar)
- Hot air balloon ride over the vineyards
JULIAN
Getaway to the mountains
- One hour drive east of San Diego
- Small, cozy miner's town
- Cideries and pies
- Lake Cuyamaca, Mount Laguna, Sunrise Highway along the way
- Gorgeous inland hikes (Stonewall, Three Sisters Falls)
VALLE DE GUADELUPE
The wine country of Mexico!
- 2 hours south of San Diego and across the U.S.-Mexico border
- Over 100 wineries to choose from!
