Whether you're a Coca-Cola drinker or not, the museum, including the vault that holds the secret formula, is definitely worth a visit while you're in Atlanta. The Coke pop art collection, the Scent Discovery room, and the tasting room are the highlights of the museum. Learn all about the anatomy of smell and the flavors that make up Coca-Cola and then head to the tasting room to sample over 80 different Coke brands from all around the world. Try Coke's spin on the bitter Italian aperitif, a raspberry cream soda popular across Southern Africa, among other options.
A powerful institution in downtown Atlanta that documents the American civil rights movement over the decades and the global fight for human rights. Atlanta has long been the center of the civil rights movement, and this museum does an excellent job of curating and displaying serious and powerful moments. This museum is worth more than a quick stop-through, you'll need a few hours to absorb all of the information.
An urban oasis in the heart of Midtown. A serene 30-acre park is renowned for its conservation programs, an orchid house, and an upscale two-level dining establishment that resembles a glass greenhouse inside the botanical garden. The Canopy Walk is also a must-do, a 600-foot walk path nestled between the trees of the garden.
Easily the best views of the city. If you're traveling with kids, there's plenty of space for them to run around and the spinning SkyView classroom will entertain and educate them. Plus, kids and adults alike will definitely be able to admire the views from the SkyView Ferris wheel.

Come early to check out cooking and candle-making classes and the many, many shopping opportunities – from local boutiques to big box stores and fashion brands. If you're outdoorsy and looking to escape the city sprawl, this is the place for you. An idea sparked by a Georgia Tech graduate thesis, a former 22-mile railway loop has now become a multi-use nature area with trails for walking, biking, and hiking. Decorated with outdoor art installations by local artists and gardens with native plants and flowers, it's Atlanta's oasis.
