Between the skyline, the river, & beautiful blue Lake Michigan, there’s no shortage of stunning city views in Chicago. If you’re looking to see them for yourself, all while sipping on something delicious, then these are the Chicago rooftop bars you have to check out on your visit.
This summertime staple is located in the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel – one of the BEST boutique hotels in Chicago! My favorite part? It overlooks Millennium Park & Lake Michigan with plenty of city views too.
Fair warning – drinks are expensive, but you're paying for the views and the iconic Instagram photo you're going to want to take. In the winter, they set this up as a winter wonderland rooftop bar – who said Chicago winters were that bad?
The best views of Lincoln Park & Lake Michigan at the top of Hotel Lincoln – the cutest boutique hotel. Start with drinks here then head over to the row of bars on Wells Street for a fun girls night out.
This very vibey, very dancy rooftop bar is in the heart of Chicago's Goldcoast neighborhood, on top of the Viceroy hotel. You can start with dinner at the ground level restaurant, Somerset, then work your way up to the rooftop afterward.
To put it simply – more city views usually paired with top-notch music and a fun DJ.
This one's for a GNO (girls night out) – Grab the gals for a night filled with city views, disco balls, dancing, and the best cocktails.
Feeling sophisticated? Here's a rather posh spot for sipping cocktails while overlooking Chicago's Magnificent Mile.
The rooftop at The Godfrey Hotel always has something happening, even in the winter! This spot is definitely more of a clubby day-drinking rooftop for the weekends. For the best experience, get a table with bottle service.
Deemed the "World's Largest Rooftop by Guinness World Records", this hot spot is the perfect place to stop at when exploring Chicago's iconic Navy Pier.
This is a super fun summer spot with all the boho vibes, and of course, (my favorite) views of the city. Plenty of bars and restaurants can be found nearby, as it's in the middle of the buzzy River North neighborhood.
In the area August 18th-20th? These spots would be a perfect look-out to experience the Chicago Air & Water Show.
