For my 30th birthday, my best friends and I spent an extended weekend in Sonoma wine country. From a private chef at our luxe rental to a private winery shuttle in a 60’s VW bus, this trip was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday!
This 5 bed, 4 bath Airbnb in Santa Rosa was a great crash pad for a group of 5 friends. You could definitely bring partners or more pals and be comfortable. It was less than 2 hours from SFO and we were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub throughout the weekend.
West Wine Tours is a fantastic small company with an incredible owner! Jake was our guide for three fantastic wineries that he and his team suggested. He got to know us, brought a huge speaker for our music, and lunch was provided with our second stop. I wouldn’t want to experience winery hopping any other way.
Anaba was our first stop and a great winery experience with fantastic wines, bocce ball courts, and pickleball.
If you love vinyl records, a funky vibe, and fantastic original art, then Winery Sixteen 600 is a great stop with fantastic wine and a unique tasting experience!
Abbot's Passage is a newer winery with great wine & ambiance. The Olive Grove was the perfect spot to spend a few hours drinking wine and grazing on a charcuterie board.

We spent a morning in Healdsburg at Williams Selyem and Wilson wineries. Williams Selyem is a great spot to visit for a wine education! Our knowledgeable sommelier, Anne, was able to cater our tasting to a group that had varying levels of wine knowledge. Wilson had fantastic Zinfandels and a relaxed vibe with fantastic views.
One of the best things about a home rental is being able to cook for your group, but having Jessica come for the evening and cooking a 5-course menu is next level relaxation. It was the perfect beginning to the trip and was so relaxed. Her food was fantastic, and she even brought flowers for the table.
Spinster Sisters had well-sized portions and a unique, seasonal menu. The relaxed vibe and great safety measures for COVID made us feel right at home.
Wit & Wisdom is all about comfort food, elevated. There was something delicious for everyone here. The desserts, especially the cheesecake and chocolate bar, are can’t-miss treats to end a meal in a cozy ambiance.
