The coffee scene in San Diego is booming, and they crush it in the aesthetics department too. Check out these six coffee shops in SD, including a special appearance of a matcha cafe.
When I'm craving an iced latte, every one of my senses screams Bird Rock's Sandpiper (hazelnut) latte. Obsessed. Their branding is so cute and so San Diego. The people are lovely, and their coffee shop environment is so cozy and inviting. And, you can take a cupping tour!
I'm a sucker for the perfect outdoor space when I'm sippin' on my bevvy, and Superbloom takes the cake! Overlooking Mission Bay/Fiesta Island and with the sand paved patio and a mini vineyard, it has the perfect beachy aesthetic. Their food and drink menu is extensive with options, but they are also all vegan. They have a couple featured seasonal drinks that are constantly rotating, so you can try something new every time you visit!
Another GORG outdoor/indoor space here. You can grab a latte flight, something from their toast bar, or if you want to spice things up, grab a house-made bloody mary! I also give you props if you can make it in and out of here with JUST coffee. The shop has merch, beauty and wellness products, flowers, home goods, stuff for littles, stationary, all the things!
I think everyone has seen the "Life's better buzzed" signs in San Diego...this is the place ;). And their coffee buzz is worth the visit. I mean one of their most popular orders is literally called "Best Drink Ever" and it fits. Their blackberry banana nut muffin?! YUM. And Acai Bowls? Yes please please please!
Drip coffee, latte, cold brew, AND donuts. You can't lose here! Each of their six locations are smaller spaces and more of a walk up window in prime areas, so you can get your coffee to go and head on your way around the cute San Diego neighborhoods they reside in.
I feel like this deserves a spot on the list, because it's THE only Matcha only cafe in San Diego, so they KNOW how to make theirs best.
