Charleston is a foodie town regardless, and these spots do a seafood extravaganza right.
A hot spot on happening King Street known for their raw bar and insane seafood. More of an East Coast vibe than the low country, so you know the lobster roll is good if that is what you're in the mood for. A very popular lunch spot since it is first come first serve, so put your name in and then explore the town while you wait.
The ambience, the service, and the seafood are anything BUT ordinary. The expansive, two story dining room is a great place to enjoy a tower and some oysters. Great for a date a night out with friends but be sure to make a reservation.
Oysters and fried chicken with champagne is the vibe at Leon's. It is cool and casual with a great patio. It used to be an auto body shop and it is crazy to see what the owners have done with the space to turn it into this fab restaurant.
Huge bar to belly up at and slurp some oysters. Brunch is very much a thing here, and the bloody mary is famous for having a king crab claw in it!
Amazing sushi spot if you're craving fresh fish but not in the mood for oysters and shrimp cocktail. It's a small space, so better for a couple or even a solo date out!
On a casual corner downtown is this gem. Chubby Fish has beautiful, gorgeous food and it's so delicious. Honestly maybe the best seafood in Charleston. The raw bar is always stocked, the oysters very fresh, and the whole fish order is never a bad idea. No reservations but beyond worth the wait.
This local's favorite is a hidden gem off the beaten path and a MUST if you're looking for a true low country experience. It is rustic AF but in the way that lets us know that the focus is on the food not the decor. Bowens has been around for decades and for good reason!
Located in a historic Charleston house, Delaney Oyster House has a great southern ambience with the seafood and low country products to compliment the vibes. Oysters are obviously a must as well as the ceviche and fish dip.
