K-beauty does not mess around. Some of the best and most innovative skincare and cosmetic brands are based in Seoul and even though they are available globally, the local stores tend to be more affordable and have more options. 

If you’re the type that has a set nighttime/daytime skincare routine or you just want some sunscreen that isn’t greasy, prepare to check your bag on the way back home from your trip to Seoul with all the goodies available.

Here are some shops and experiences that you can’t miss. 

Olive Young

One of the most popular Kbeauty stores for Seoulites and visitors alike. Olive Young has all the who's who of Korean skincare, cosmetics, perfume, and hair care.  While they have locations all around the city, their Myeongdong store can't be missed with two floors full of self care essentials and they always have a bargain offer ready for you. 

Dr. Jart Flagship Store

Dr Jart was one of the brands that kicked off the KBeauty revolution and when you visit their flagship "Filter Space" store in Garosu-gil you will see why. The brand's triumvirate focus on air, light, and water is visible in their top of the dermatological products and every detail of their industrial but sophisticated space. If you're new to skincare or a product junkie, a visit here will be educational, awe inspiring and very Instagrammable. 

Tonymoly 

This skincare store is sensory overload. Easily the cutest cosmetics and skin care products available. You've probably seen their facemasks at Sephora but checking out stores' Seoul locations for their tomato detox cream or Panda eye care line is totally worth it. And if you're looking for souvenirs, Tonymoly products are the most giftable to boot (peach lip balm, anyone?) 

Spa at the Four Seasons

The spa at the Four Seasons takes all of Seoul's skincare wisdom and puts it into practice. With a traditional Korean spa and custom treatments specializing in restorative treatment including facials, body treatments, and mani-pedis. If you're struggling with jet lag, splurge on the spa's luxurious "purifying experience" to put yourself back at ease.
