For years, I was a single parent trying to somehow fit in some chill time with friends without shelling out for a babysitter. These Nashville gems made it happen! From a hipster haven that combines mixology and wood-fired (kid-friendly) pizzas to a brewery with an actual playground, these are Nashville's best venues for great booze and good times—without having to leave your kid(s) at home.
For grown-ups: the Valedictorian cocktail is one of the best mezcal mixes in town. For littles: get the cereal milk ice cream.
For grown-ups: the best bang-for-your-buck happy hour in Nashville, hands down. $6 wine, beer, select cocktails, plus shockingly elegant (and filling) modern middle eastern bites that mean you won't actually have to go to dinner after. For littles: two words: Tahini brownie.
For grown-ups: there's always a fascinating cocktail riff to be had, and the East Nash vibes are hard to beat. For littles: patio seating and a pizza truck (Roberta's, which hails originally from Brooklyn) out front.
For grown-ups: a damn tasty pitcher of margs you will not regret... at least not until tomorrow morning. For littles: quesadillas, chips, and legendary Jeni's ice cream just across the street.
For grown-ups: the whipped feta is the stuff of myths (and may even please multiple generations of bar-goers/diners), and the B&B margarita with fruit shrub does not disappoint. For littles: pair said feta with hummus, pita, sliced veggies, and finish up with a chocolate creme brûlée.
For grown-ups: ALL THE BEERS, including classics and limited-edition runs alike, brewed on-site. For littles: pizza and a (blessedly fenced-in) playground. Need we say more?
